Overview:
Egyptian Diving and Lifesaving Federation (EDLF) is the governing body responsible for promoting and regulating lifesaving activities in Egypt. Established in 1983, EDLF plays a vital role in ensuring the safety, standards, and development of diving and lifesaving practices across the country.
Key Activities:
1. Training and Certification: The EDLF offers training programs and certification courses for divers, lifeguards, and instructors to ensure they meet international standards in safety and competence.
2. Inspection and Safety Standards: EDLF establishes and enforces safety protocols, guidelines and inspections to maintain high safety standards in diving and lifesaving operations across Egypt.
3. Drowning Prevention Awareness: EDLF collaborates with other governmental agencies to strengthen drowning prevention efforts through joint initiatives, advocacy, and resource-sharing.
4. Fin-swimming Sport: The Federation organizes and participates in Finswimming competitions and championships to foster a spirit of sportsmanship and promote the sport.
5. Lifesaving Sport: The Federation organizes and participates in Lifesaving competitions and championships to promote the sport while showcasing Egypt’s talents.
